Henna is a wonderful plant with a natural ability to dye many things.   It can be used to decorate jeans, shirts, curtains, lamp shades,  baskets, candles, walls ....use your imagination.
This is henna (Persian red) mixed with water and applied to the walls with my hands (don't forget gloves!).  You can achieve many different looks.  If you apply too much, just wipe some off.  Even after it dries you can wet a sponge and change your design.  Henna is a natural deodorizer and make a great addition to the bathroom or musty basements.  It could be added to paint for texture or applied with a rag or sponge.
Henna can be added to paraffin, soy, palm or any other wax.  Neutral henna makes a brownish tint to the wax.  Red henna provides a greenish tint to the wax.  Add approximately 1 teaspoon for every pound of melted wax.  Try a little more, or a little less and see what happens!  Your left over henna can be used to add decorations to the candles as well.  Decorate the sides and tops with an Indian or Asian inspired design.

You can buy ready made candles and personalize them.  Great for weddings...add the groom and brides name.  Decorate them for your Yule Tide festivities or your unique dinner party.
